Michael is responsible for investment due diligence, including,
acquisition, development, financing, legal and permitting activities
of various Compass projects. Michael maintains excellent
relationships with multiple Wall Street debt & equity sources and
plays an active role in raising and structuring capital.
Michael was formerly president & chief operating officer of
Bridgewater, MA based Claremont Companies, a privately held national
real estate firm where he held a variety of senior management
positions for more than 10 years. At Claremont, he completed over
$1.5 billion in real estate transactions in over 10 states,
including, apartments, hotels, retail centers, office development
and land transactions. He also had extensive permitting,
construction and development experience.
Prior to Claremont, he was
a real estate lender at BayBank in Boston. He is a frequent guest
lecturer at the Boston College MBA real estate program. Michael is
a graduate of the National University of Ireland and Babson
